Treatment method
Moxibustion
Controlled warmth from processed mugwort is applied near selected points under direct practitioner supervision.
Ask whether it suits you
What it is
A technique selected for the individual.
Moxibustion is a heat-based traditional technique that may be used alongside acupuncture. At Dr. Kataria Health, selection depends on the treatment plan, heat sensitivity, skin condition and ventilation requirements. Heat should feel comfortably warm, never burning.
Safety first
Moxibustion requires fire and smoke precautions and is unsuitable in some respiratory, sensory-loss or skin conditions. Reduced sensation, diabetes-related neuropathy and pregnancy require special assessment. It should never burn or blister the skin.
